Our story

It started with a phone call from my mom.

One day my mom called me with an idea. She wanted an app for our family tree — a place where our family could upload our stories and photos, and keep our documents, pictures and videos together as a record of our family’s history.

What she didn’t know was that I had already bought a domain for a reason not so different from hers. Mine was a bigger dream: to document all of humanity, for the purpose of saving everything — so that everyone has as much of the world’s knowledge as possible at the tip of their fingers.

She was asking to save our family’s history. I was trying to save the world’s. It turned out to be the same idea.

Every family carries knowledge no library holds: the faces in old photographs, the documents in a drawer, the stories only a few people still remember. Humanity’s history is made of those families.

So Saveverything is both. A public archive anyone can explore, and a private home for your own family — your tree, your stories, your photos, documents and videos — shared only with the people you choose.

The world’s knowledge is already at our fingertips. Now the history of each family can be too — for families everywhere.

Start saving your family’s story.
